The Campus
JMU's 721-acre campus spreads across the Shenandoah Valley in Harrisonburg, Virginia, with the Blue Ridge Mountains as backdrop. The Bluestone buildings (native limestone, slate roofs) on the original quad give way to modern facilities like the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts on the east side. Interstate 81 bisects campus, connected by a pedestrian bridge. The ISAT/CS campus on the east side is newer, glass-and-steel construction.
